I think she feels this way because she loves China, and China was the place where she find her secret identity. She might also thinks because she had a great time in China more than she felt.
Yes, I think it is important coming to terms with your own cultural itentity. Because when we were asked about Japan from foreign and couldn't answer to it, maybe I feel sorry for them, and who asked me would be disappointed. So, I think we should know about our own cultural identity.

I hardly agree that Millennial generation has a global perspective.
I really think in that way, for example, when Steve Jobs passed away, every news were telling about Ozawa who is a statesman of Japan, not Steve Jobs. Not only about Steve's news, but I think we are lacking in global perspective.
But I believe that I have a global perspective because I want to think many things in globally.
